STREETS
The Street Division is responsible for street, pavement, and sidewalk repair. Street maintenance is generally carried out via private contractor or City staff on a case by case basis. Street Division staff also undertake street sweeping.

The City of Pekin Street Division is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the City's streets. The division operations are located at 1208 Koch Street. The Street Division provides the following services:
- Construction and maintenance of streets.
- Repair and replacement of sidewalks.
- Installation and repair of curbs and gutters.
- Installation and repair of storm sewers and drains.
- Street cleaning and sweeping.
- Emergency tree removal from the City's right of way.
- Street patching.
- Manhole repair/replacement.
- Snow plowing of streets.

The Street Operations section manages all the planning and budgeting for the Street Division. Staff inspects new road construction on work zones and street cut ordinances throughout the City.
