Pekin Area Enterprise Zone (PAEZ)

The Pekin Area Enterprise Zone (PAEZ), jointly managed by Tazewell County and the City of Pekin, covers approximately eleven (11) square miles and is ideal for industrial and commercial uses. Within the PAEZ, tax credits and other incentives are offered for commercial and industrial development.  This includes:
 

• Five Year Real Estate Tax Abatement
• Sales Tax Exemption on New Construction
• Waiver of Building Permits and Fees
• Targeting of local revolving business loan and infrastructure improvement funds
• Illinois Investment Tax Credits
• Illinois Job Tax Credits
