Michael is a lifelong resident of Pekin. He graduated from Bradley University in 2002 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementry Education. In 2005 he received his Master of Arts degree in Teaching and Leadership from Saint Xavier University. Since 2002 Michael has taught 3rd grade at Willow School in Pekin. He has been honored with the Walmart Teacher of the Year Award and the WEEK-TV Golden Apple Award.
Michael and his wife Rachel were married in 2004. They are the proud parents of three children; Ella, Liam and Ben.
