The City of Pekin is accepting applications and documentation for new police officers. All applications must be complete and submitted no later than 4:00 PM July 26, 2019.
All aspects of testing will be conducted on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Edison Junior High school 1400 Earl St Pekin IL. All testing and oral interviews will be conducted on August 3, 2019. Applicants MUST check in at the test site no later than 7:30 am on August 3, 2019.
Applicants must have 60 hours college credit verified by transcripts or 2 years active military service with honorable discharge verified by DD214 to be eligible to test. Applicants must be a citizen of the US, must be at least age 21 by time of appointment and must be under age 35, unless otherwise exempt by law, by the final eligibility list effective dated of August 30th.
Residency within a 20 mile radius of 14th & Broadway is required within 18 months of employment.
Failure to submit any portion of the required materials included in this application packet will eliminate you from employment consideration.
