Pekin Hospital

One of the biggest assets Pekin offers is its very own hospital!  Pekin Hospital is a 125-bed medical center that provides advanced care and state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities offered by few other hospitals its size. This includes a Level II Trauma Center, a Women’s Diagnostic Center, state-of-the-art MRIs and CT Scan technology, and The Baby Place - which is certified by UNICEF/WHO as “baby-friendly”. Only one other hospital in Illinois and less than 100 hospitals in the U.S. have achieved this designation! Pekin Hospital has been serving our community since 1913 and has continued to expand and develop its services.  It employs approximately 700 employees, including over 200 physicians in more than 26 medical specialties.

Methodist at Pekin

Walk-in care… family practice… ear, nose and throat problems… cardiology services… school physicals and more!  Methodist at Pekin (part of Methodist Medical Group in Peoria) provides a full range of medical services both during the week and on the weekends! Lab, X-ray, EKG services and monthly cholesterol and diabetes screenings are also available.

In addition to Pekin Hospital and Methodist at Pekin, there is a wide selection of private practice physicians with offices in Pekin. Specialties represented include cardiology, dentistry, internal medicine, OB/GYN, optometry, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, urology and many others.
