We love the house, the neighborhood and all that Pekin has to offer. The park district is outstanding for a community the size of Pekin. The restaurants and shopping are plentiful and what we can't find is an easy drive to get to. We are looking forward to raising our children in this community and believe we made the right decision in making Pekin our home.”

"My husband and I relocated back to Illinois and built a new home in Pekin a few years ago. It was a bit intimidating starting new jobs and moving to a new community, but we felt so welcomed by the Pekin community. I became a Chamber Ambassador and also went through the Chamber's Community Leadership Academy.  The leadership academy showed me what a great community Pekin is and everything they have to offer. As a way for us to get out and meet people, we volunteered to work the gate at this year's July 4th fireworks show. The event is very well put together for families wanting to get out and have a relaxing evening together."
