The City is currently restricting the public’s access to City Hall and city facilities due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.  However, as a public body, the City Council also has a responsibility to abide by the Illinois Open Meetings Act (OMA) which requires that meetings be accessible to the public.

City Hall will therefore have limited public access during public meetings to meet the requirements set out by the OMA.  The City asks that for any member of the public who is sick or having any type of symptoms to not attend. If you are without symptoms and do plan to attend, you will be asked to observe proper social distancing etiquette and eliminate any physical contact such as through handshakes.  Hand sanitizers and access to washrooms will also be made available.

Limited public access as outlined above will continue to be observed with other public meetings in the future.
