The Central Illinois Emergency Response Team is comprised of Police Officers from various police agencies. The CIERT Team is comprised of Tactical Commanders, Team Operators (police Officers), Tactical EMS (paramedics), and Negotiators. CIERT call-out incidents range from Barricaded Subjects, Shootings, to High Risk Search Warrants. The Pekin Police Department currently has 6 officers assigned to CIERT.
