Narcotics Unit
The Pekin Police Department is committed to fighting illegal narcotics in our community. Not only do we participate in the Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG) but we also have resources specifically directed at those who manufacture, sell and use methamphetamine.
The MEG unit is comprised of local and state officers who work in an undercover capacity to investigate all types of drug activity in Tazewell, Peoria, Knox and Stark counties. The Pekin Police Department currently has officers dedicated to the MEG unit, as well as officers assigned to the task of combating the methamphetamine abuse in our area. |
