2nd Street and State Street Combination Sewer Rehablilitation

Dates:  Starting September 6, 2011 until completion
Description:  Approximately 426 ft of the combination sewer on 2nd Street from Henrietta Street to State Street will be lined with a cured in place pipe liner.  This project involves pulling a pipe liner through the existing combination sewer and then filling the liner with hot water for 24 hours in order to cure it in place.  This will seal any voids in the decaying sewer to preserve its stuctural integrity instead of complete reconstruction of the sewer.  However, during this 24 hour period any home whose sanitary sewer is connected to this part of the sewer will be without service.  The city asks that you refrain from using anything that discharges wastewater especially dishwashers , laundry machines and showers. 

The City also asks anyone in the general neighborhood and 2nd and State to check that their drains are in good working order to ensure that they don't receive a glue oder coming from their drains during this process.
