Street Sweeping

The Street Maintenance section maintains all City streets, curbs, gutters, shoulders, roadway striping, and storm drains and to ensure the safety of all motorists. 
 
Street Sweeping is done on a daily basis.  Every street in the City of Pekin is swept between 7 to 9 times per year.  The City of Pekin is divided into eight Sweeping Routes and covers approximately 200 miles of streets. The Downtown Business District is swept once every week (Thursday) 2:30am to 7:30am.
