Community Development Block Grant Program

The City receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as an eligible entitlement jurisdiction. The goal of receiving these funds is to promote a suitable living environment and encourage access to services primarily benefitting low- and moderate-income individuals and families.

CDBG funds can be used for a variety of programs and initiatives designed to advance the overall health, safety, and sustainability of the community. To outline a strategy for the use of these funds, the City develops both an Annual Action Plan and a 5-Year Consolidated Plan.

As part of this process, the City provides a period for public review and comment consistent with regulatory requirements in 24 CFR 570. Any proposed plans or documents with active comment periods will be listed as a draft document and included in the “pending items” list below.
