CITY ENGINEERING 
The City Engineer prepares design work and construction contracts for improvements to streets, storm sewers and sidewalks. The City will also utilize the expertise of outside engineering firms as well.  Requests for improvements to these facilities are evaluated individually and alternative solutions are formulated to develop the most cost effective means of addressing problems. The City Engineer works closely with the City Council's Public Infrastructure Committee e to review infrastructure needs of the community and proposed projects. The City Engineer also inspects awarded construction contracts, monitoring construction to insure that workmanship and materials are in conformance with the written plans and specifications.
