Councilmember Orrick started working at Caterpillar in 1963 and graduated in June of 1968 as a Machinist Apprentice.  Orrick has had various office positions and entered into Management in the late 1970's and retired in the 1990's from the Technical Center at a Project Development Manager.  After entering into management, he graduated ICC with a degree in Manufacturing Technology.  Orrick was elected into the Commission Form of Government in the early 1990's and was Commissioner of Public Properties.  He was on the City Council when the form of government changed and served 2 years under the City Manager Form of Government.  Orrick was previously appointed to the Tazewell County Board of Review, the Sheriff's Merit Commission and the Pekin Park Board for 6 years, with his last year serving as President of the Board.  In 2013 and 2017, Orrick was elected to successive 4-year terms to again serve on Pekin's City Council.

Orrick and his wife Marilyn have been married 45+ years, raised 3 daughters and have 7 grandchildren.  Orrick also has Bruno, his 3rd adoption from TAPS and the best dog ever!
