The Human Resources Department, under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, is responsible for for administering the City's personnel services to more than 300 active employees which include employee fringe benefits, such as health insurance; job analysis and position classification as well as recruitment and selection of employees; compensation plan; labor contract negotiation and administration and development of personnel policies and the employee handbook, and is responsible for administering the retiree benefits division of the Police and Fire Pension Funds.
